10. Cost of tyre punctures throughout the period of hire become the responsibility of the hirer and will be charged at the normal repair rate should the unit be returned with a punctured tyre.

11. The cost of replacement tyres, should they be required due to shredding or a blowout throughout the period of hire, is the responsibility of the hirer. If the hirer is required to purchase new rather than second hand tyres, then upon return of the unit Campers on the RUN will negotiate with the hirer a fair and reasonable amount of compensation to allow for wear and tear of the pre-existing tyres. To facilitate this, receipts and old tyre casings are to be returned with the unit to Campers on the RUN.

12. Insurance:- An excess of $1000 is applicable to all hires where damage resulting from an accident (multiple or single vehicle) or theft occurs during the period of hire, whether insurance is listed as a separate item or included within the standard hire rates.
Additional $200 excess is applicable if damage occurs whilst the trailer is being driven on beach, dirt or unsealed road.
Additional $300 excess is applicable for drivers licensed less than two years.
Age Excess also applies:
An additional $500 excess for Drivers aged 16-20 years

Where damage to the unit is valued at $1000 or less, the hirer is responsible for the cost of repairs; however should a third party be responsible for the damages caused to the unit, whether by collision, accidental or malicious means and claim proven against them leading to a compensation payment to Campers on the RUN, then such monies will be refunded to the hirer up to the excess amount of $1000 less any legal costs incurred in the claim.

The Deposit/Bond monies already paid by the hirer do not form part of the applicable excess.

Should any collection costs be incurred in payment of such monies to Campers on the RUN then the hirer will become responsible for payment of cash costs over and above what is owed to Campers on the RUN from the preceding clauses.

In the event of theft of the hire unit, Campers on the RUN is under no obligation to provide a replacement unit for the remainder of the hire period.

In the event of accidental damage to a camper trailer and the hirer leaves the unit ‘in situ’ and does not return the unit to the place of hire or repair, where the hirer could have reasonably done so, then Clauses 12 and 13 will apply. If the hirer can show proof that the camper trailer is covered by the hirer’s current Motor vehicle Insurance Policy for the period of hire then the above can be waived.

13. The cost of repairs for any wilful, negligent or malicious damage occurring during the period of the hire will be deducted from the Deposit/Bond monies paid. The hirer also agrees to pay Campers on the RUN the cost of repairs for such damage which are in excess of the Deposit/Bond monies already paid, plus cost of any fees incurred by way of process to recover these monies. Cost of repairs to canvas not considered as fair and normal wear and tear are to also apply to this clause.

14. Return of all extras and accessories as listed in contract contained herein must be made, otherwise hirer is responsible for the replacement cost of same.

Note* If late return is due to the mechanical failure of the hire en route, costs listed in Clauses 12 & 13 may be waived at the discretion of Campers on the RUN, provided they are notified immediately of such and event and proof of such failure is provided by the hirer.

18. Campers on the RUN agrees to provide a camper of same or similar qualities should one not be available at time of hire.
